Welcome to Shaun in the City
In 2015, Shaun the Sheep stars in two ewe-nique charity arts trails across Bristol and London, organised by Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Foundation – introducing, Shaun in the City!
From 6th July to 31st August, the charity are bringing 70 b-ewe-tiful giant Shaun the Sheep sculptures, created by artists, designers and celebrities, to iconic locations and green spaces across Bristol for the public to enjoy.
Back in spring, our first flock of 50 entirely ewe-nique Shauns arrived in London on 28th March and made the capital’s pastures their home until 31st May.
Both flocks of Shauns will go to auction later in the year, with funds raised from the 70 Bristol sculptures going to The Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity and funds raised from the 50 London sculptures benefitting Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity, supporting children in hospitals across the UK.
Shaun in the City is brought to you by the team that created the award-winning Gromit Unleashed, which saw Aardman’s loveable canine sidekick Gromit help raise £5 million for Bristol Children’s Hospital.

I eventually tracked down the 'Shaun Bean' this lunchtime - in the rain - and was a little disappointed.
Normally the decoration has something to do with the name - at least it is for quite a few other 'Shauns' and it certainly was for the Gromits a couple of years ago.

, the sculpture is nicknamed The Bean because of its shape. Made up of 168 stainless steel plates welded together, its highly polished exterior has no visible seams

Uh... I don't get what this is. It doesn't have anything to do with Sean, does it? Or he lends his name to raise money for charity?
Anyway, I'd much rather see a statue of him as Richard Sharpe or .... oh, yes, yes, Ranuccio.

The statues are of Shaun the sheep from the Wallace and Gromit movies. Plain statues are made and it's up to the artist/sponsor to come up with the title and decoration. At the end of the summer they'll all be auctioned off in aid of the Bristol kids hospital. Sean would have had nothing to do with this . They've just "borrowed" his name.
