Sean Bean is my favourite, but come on. His role in Curfew isn't anything special. I actually enjoy the show so far, but not Sean Bean in it.

I've come to think that he takes me out of a lot of shows/movies, unless they are great and the role really suits him. Maybe I'm just so familiar with him. I also thought he was  pretty weak in Medici compared to others. I know that's blasphemous, he is and will always be my favourite :P

Well, I absolutely disagree. In the Medici Sean Bean - almost the only thing that did not irritate me. It is Sean that makes the character deep, despite the primitiveness of the script.
But, I do not really like Lorenzo Medici  at all )))

There were a few bad apples in Medici (the highlight was Matteo Martari as Francesco). I just feel like Sean Bean's character was so one note. Not his fault it was written that way.
 Sean Bean has given some of the greatest performances (and my favourite performances) I've ever seen. But he has been in a lot of rubbish, and I feel like he knows when it is rubbish and just does it for the paycheck. I don't blame him.

His performances in Broken, Accused, Lord of the Rings, Essex Boys, Sharpe, Black Death, Game of Thrones, are some of the greatest performances I've ever seen and feel like he was born for those roles. 

Other exceptional ones are Troy, GoldenEye, National Treasure, Flightplan, North Country, The Frankenstein Chronicles, Lady Chatterly, The Martian, Red Riding, The Hitcher, The Island (that's all I can think of at the top of my head).

Some very one note roles, either due to his performance and terrible writing/directing include: Curfew, Airborne, Death Race 2, Drone, Any Day, Wicked Blood, Soldiers of Fortune.

I will watch anything he is in because I love Sean Bean, but I don't expect to be blown away when I see something he is in, because very often he is in attached to something that is just not very interesting.

This is all my opinion. I hope I have explained myself well. Sometimes I have a hard time articulating my thoughts.

Yes, Martari was very good. And Bradley as Giuliano, too. But Sean as Pazzi is just brilliant. This unshakable self-righteousness, this limited idea, which he is faithful to the very end, this his confidence in his right to decide what to do with other people's lives. Well played.
Although is not very historical authenticity there, but, the history is written by the winners.

By the way, I like Any Day, a good film, and the role of Sean there is one of his best late period. It was like a rehearsal for Broken - a subtle game, a simple drawing, a deep inner veracity. Although the direction and the script is not brilliant, of course. This is not McGovern. But playing such everyday things is so awesome ... Sean Bean is great, yes.

To be honest,I don't think Sean is ever going to get the top spot with the poll ending 29 February 2020.

Alexander Dreymon (The Last Kingdom) is 36 and seems to have lots of young fans voting.

Your so RIGHT about SEAN being an older actor and he probably has less younger fans (who have more computers, pads, laptops, and phones) who
can vote more times each day for Alexander. Younger fans also have more FREE time to vote. The FACT that SEAN IS IN SCOUND PLACE is

Thank you Patch for bring up the fewer younger fans issue. I was thinking about posting my concerns about this, and I was not sure about how to
talk about it. I was afraid right from the start of this poll that SEAN was not going to get very far in this contest. I was thinking maybe number 4.
So I was happy when he hit number 3. Now he's ahead of Aidan Turner which is AMAZING, because so many people watch his show. Second place
is GREAT when you look at SEAN'S competition. As Patch as stated OLD and YOUNG !!
