The kids all loved watching the older actors and tried really hard to learn from them. Especially Sean Bean.
Now this is exactly why I am trying to read everything; to get a real sense of him. The sharing of his sweets had me in a puddle as generosity of spirit is something I really like in a person. Given that he has daughters and knows how that works, plus (I think) Maisie was a first time actress and he would know things might be difficult for her so that kind of bonding would help with the scenes but even so ... he shares his sweets!!!!!!
I love that! I think it is true that people like in someone else what they like in themselves and that particular trait is definitely an important quality for me. My best friend is generous with money - because she has lots and it doesn't mean much to her, and she is not generous of spirit so it means even less. I'm not complaining, I totally understand and we have been best friends, despite our geographical distance, for twenty-five years so I don't hold it against her, it just surprises me sometimes.
I had been eyeing a Clarisonic on QVC for a while. They had a Today's Special Value offer and I decided to get one, and loved it. I sent her an e-mail about how fab it was and explained about the QVC 30-day money back policy so she didn't have to keep it if she didn't like it, went on to the American QVC website to find the product link there and a link to the latest sales video they had, plus I sent her a link to the American Clarisonic site with all the limited edition models and more colours - everything she could want - and what did she say? "Oh, I've had one for ages, I should get it out and use it" - oh goody - not a single thought to share the info. had entered her head, likewise a Kindle, and Bose noise cancelling headphones as she likes to work when she flies and the noise is not really conducive to that so I thought ... I say I am used to her but, to be honest, those things actually still smart a bit. Oh well, she is who she is but ... HE SHARES HIS SWEETS! Depends what they are, of course, but I don't think I'd necessarily share all of mine, just sayin'!
