Okay so what is up with this?  How can they have a DVD of the first season when we have only seen two of the ten episodes?  I wonder how many copies they expect to sell and if this will hurt viewing of the show?

Last Episode of Season 1  airs   5/17/2012

I doubt it will hurt anything.  The vast majority of telly shows and even feature films make the bulk of their money from DVD sales, especially those of the Big 4 telly networks.  Advertising revenue just ain't what it used to be.  Its become common practice to calculate the DVD release date during the initial development of the project.  People were screaming at HBO wanting to know when GoT first season DVD would be ready long before the series even began airing.

Didn't realize advertising dollars were that low.  Guess I always think about the million dollars a minute price tag from the super bowl.  But still I would think they would wait till season 1 was over.  I am tempted to buy it and then shelve it till this summer and watch it on our mountain biking Sean Bean film festival this summer.

Well, I'm glad that its coming out so soon. I've already missed the second episode.  I'm not good at minding telly schedules, so if they don't replay something multiple times during the week and weekend, then I will assuredly miss some episodes, even if it does have His Nibs in it.  Besides, too many times I'm not even home by 7PM on a Thursday.

I know what you mean about schedules and being home at 7.  Life is too much fun to be tied to a TV scheduled.  That is why I hook my computer up to the big screen TV and watch stuff on line.  You'd think I would have the DVR function but we just haven't done that yet.

I download a LOT of stuff, especially telly.  Its just that with Sean's works, if its affordable, I like to buy the official release cuz you usually get a lot of extras and the quality is better, especially if you can get it in Blu-ray.
