Made for SyFy series?  Hmmmm...lets hope its not crap like their made for SyFy films are.

Great minds . . . read my in edit in the post above!

Don't you just love seeing C.Thomas Howell getting eaten by some mutant salamander?  Or Antonio Sabato getting dragged into the swamp by an albino alligator?  or any of a dozen brainless starlet wannabes served up as lunch to some T-Rex or Raptor who stand there screaming instead of running for the hills?

Actually *looks around furtively* I have a secret addiction to B movies.  Some are entirely TOO bad to watch (unfortunately, a lot of those are SyFy 'originals') but some are perfect for brainless viewing on Sunday afternoons.

I managed to watch all of "Hammer of the Gods" (SyFy) - quite possibly one of the stupidest films around; Vikings versus Werewolves - because one of the guys in it was pretty hot.  And smart.  And brave.  Played the standard Sean Bean character, so of course he died.  The guy that played Thor looked like an overweight frat boy - it was awful.

If you want to destroy some brain cells, it's on YouTube . . .

Thanks for the link.  :)  That's good information.

Cameras are rolling on The Lost Future, a US$7m telefilm starring Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings, Troy) and Sam Claflin (The Pillars of the Earth) and uniting networks in Germany and the US.

The commissioning broadcasters are RTL Television of Germany and US cable network Syfy, with production taking place in South Africa via Munich-based Tandem Communications and Film Afrika Worldwide.

The film is directed by Emmy-winner Mikael Salomon (Band of Brothers, The Company), with exec production handled by Jonas Bauer (Impact), Rola Bauer (The Pillars of the Earth) and Tim Halkin (Lost City Raiders). David Wicht (The Poseidon Adventure) and Vlokkie Gordon (The Breed) are coproducers and Moritz Polter (Impact) is the producer.

Rounding out the cast are Annabelle Wallis (The Tudors, Ghost Town), Eleanor Tomlinson (Alice in Wonderland, The Sarah Jane Adventures) and Corey Sevier (The Jazzman, Smallville).

The Lost Future is a post-apocalyptic story set in a world where forests and jungles have reclaimed the Earth. Bean plays the leader of a bunch hunters who face various beasts and mysterious diseases. VMMa, an independent broadcaster covering Dutch-speaking Belgium, has already acquired the film.

OH   MY   GAWD!!!  So we get to see him dressed in post-apocalyptic attire hunting B/C grade monsters in a SyFy telefilm????  I guess he wanted to spend more than just a week or two in South Africa and the opportunity came up to kill...err.. I mean film two projects in one trip.

Wow, I actually found it listed with Tandem:

Self-musings: Since Tom Sizemore is no longer a good investment even for B grade film producers, I guess someone has to step in and fill the void.  Hmmmm...at least the Film Afrika Worldwide company has some really decent stuff to its credit, including Windprints with the director an producer David Wicht serving as Exec Producer this time.

It sounds like the kind of movie that would show up on Mystery Science Theater.  I used to really enjoy that show, where they made fun of B movies.

If mysterious diseases abound, I hope that Sean's handsome face won't be marred by postules or something equally gross.

He certainly is staying busy.

Let's hope for the best, eh?

No pustules, relatively flattering post-Apocalyptic costume for him and PLEASE no "10 Million BC" cave girl outfits on the women . . .

Dialogue that doesn't make you want to break bricks over your head.

That's about all you can hope for with a SyFy flick.

I hope he doesn't get eaten by one of the beasts.  I guess that would be another unique method of character death that he could add to his list, though.  I'm trying to picture the sight of him inside of a giant beast's mouth being flung about before being devoured.

MF why are you trying to picture him fighting with a beast. Look at his wedding pics and you know how it looks like when he has a rapacious and abominable monster next to him.
