Now that's just weird.

My mother loved that program (and the spin-offs - Knot's Landing and Dynasty . . . that one she referred to as "die nasty" because the characters were uniformly awful human beings).

I liked the theme music for Dallas, though !

That's the only thing that was good about it.

I agree, LB, the concept of the prime-time soap about families with too much money and nothing to do but be evil to each other is obsolete.  Larry Hagman hasn't aged very well either.  I hope the networks will pass on this one.

My brother recently decided to undertake a mission to re-watch every single episode of Dallas ever screened and every time I phoned him up, he'd just want to talk about some random episode I couldn't remember. :lalala

I think they have a comfortable nostalgia about them, and they should leave a good thing alone.

Good point about Larry Hagman too.  He was perfect in the original series because he was convincing as a dynamic alpha male, not sure that would be the case these days.

It would be nice if writers and producers could come up with some original ideas, instead of all these retreads.
