Fight Club: A History of Violence coming soon to @VisitYesterday and narrated by Sean Bean. Yes, SEAN BEAN. Well I think it's exciting...
'Fight Club, 1, Georgian' is on at 9.00pm on Wednesday 10th October on Yesterday
Sean Bean provides the manliest narration this side of Apocalypse Now to take us on a journey through the British people's long-standing love and fascination with getting other people to fight for our viewing pleasure.
.....Still, I would happily let Sean Bean narrate every documentary, movie, T.V. show and video game in the entire world, as he somehow manages to imbue even the most limpid bollocks with fathoms of inscrutable depth.....The man’s a genius, in short, and this documentary is worth watching just for the sheer joy of hearing him speak. But, if you’re already watching, it also has the added bonus of a small serving of interesting history
Bare-knuckle boxing was the subject of Fight Club: a History of Violence (Yesterday), the second of a four-part series narrated with appropriate menace by the gravel-voiced Sean Bean.
Even better, Sean Bean’s back with his trademark gravelly claptrap.....but it does raise the frightening prospect of a future documentary by an ancient, decrepit Sean Bean, announcing sagely that, “Young lads o’ t’ twenty fust century used ta settle thea bitta disputes by wobblin thea ‘eads ‘n listenin ta Elgar on thea i-Phones.”
