I just finished watching and I very much enjoyed it!  It was also cool to see Sean listed as a producer.  I think getting rid of all the other characters from season 1 was a big plus.  There is one thing that I didn't like so much, and it seems to be a common thing in some of the other shows that I watch.  It's the time period jumping back and forth.  A couple of flashbacks in an episode is okay, but the constant going back and forth can get confusing and  make the story not flow as well.  But I don't really care too much about that as long as I get my weekly Sean fix!

0.68 million viewers for the premiere. Not good at all. It is a shame because the second season is starting really strong and it looks to be a much better show than what premiered last year. Maybe the first season tarnished any chances this series had. Oh well, at least we got an extra 10 episodes of Sean Bean!

Wow, what is wrong with people!? It's so good.

But the whole way watching TV has changed is confusing to me. Do they count the people who watched it beforehand? And I'm REALLY getting frustrated. I bought the season on google play and they haven't put episode 2 up yet. I thought the Legends people said it would be available as soon as episode 1 aired?

Thank you Patch for all the info on LEGENDS !!! I watched the first episode of LEGENDS season 2 and I really
LOVED it !!! It looks more like a movie than a TV show, and of course SEAN'S acting was great !! So what's
wrong with people that they're NOT WATCHING this show ???? Maybe their recording it so they can watch
Monday night football now and LEGENDS later in the week ????  :frustrate: I guess I'm just going to encourage
more people to watch LEGENDS on my Facebook page. I do know that they renewed Sean's show because
the ratings were higher on the international markets. So if it doesn't find an audience in America I hope it
continues to do well in other countries.

Exclusive Interview with Legends’ Sundra Oakley

Quote
So I don’t think you got to work too much directly with Sean Bean.  I’ve always thought of him as a consummate professional.  Does someone at that level enhance the overall production?

I did not get to work with him personally storyline wise, but we ran into each other on set.  I went to set once to watch and I was getting some lessons from his dialect coach.  You see him speaking Russian with his teacher and I have this fascination with speaking with a Russian accent so I practiced with her.  You could see his, his focus. To be around that kind of energy is very inspiring as an actor and to be around that kind of greatness well you just pinch yourself and go ‘thank you acting gods for putting me in this position’.

Best and most bad-ass thing you've seen on the set of Legends:

The most bad-ass would have to be Sean Bean playing Dmitry Petrovich. While working with Sean, I remember the subtleties of his character were disarming. The best was shooting on the Charles Bridge. I grew up in Prague and spent a lot of time there, so coming back years later to work was an amazing experience. It was magical!

Revelations you've had about Sean Bean and the rest of the Legends cast since you started working with them:

I don’t know if I had any revelations, but I enjoyed every minute of it. Sean was startlingly humble and sweet. I absolutely loved working with my co-stars.

I was just thinking about LEGENDS ratings, and I'm wondering if it could be TNT that's the problem. How
many people watch this channel ???? I only watch LEGENDS nothing else. Also you can watch LEGENDS on
other formats. So many be lack of interest in TNT is the problem. If LEGENDS was on one of the network
channels I'm sure it would have a big audience. :frustrate:

There is a site that I belong to where people discuss tv shows.  Besides my comment about this second season premiere, there are only 4 other posts.  That is a very poor showing and shows lack of interest in the show.  Of those 4 other posts, 1 person loved it, 1 person thought it was okay and said they would stick around for a few more episodes, and the other 2 people didn't like it.   I hope that the viewership will pick up along with some positive reviews.

***** Legends Season 2 Episode 1 SPOILER ALERT**************

I agree that TNT is to blame for the lack of viewership on the show. But, it's even bigger than just TNT not doing a great job promoting it - it's more because TNT like HBO is a cable tv channel here in the USA and you have to pay a premium to get it. And well TNT is just not in the same class as HBO.
I disconnected my cable box a year ago now. I only watch TV that is broadcast for free over the air waves OR I find exactly what I want on Netflix, Google, Amazon, etc. and make my very selective purchases that way. Cable TV is losing viewers in droves because of this so I am pretty sure that ratings will be lower due to a much smaller viewing audience before it even starts.

Purchasing a season of Legends is not really in my budget right now because I know that it probably will come to Netflix in 6-8 months or so. I pay a little less than $10 USD per month for Netflix and love it for its diversity. Anyways, I am much more interested in the Frankenstein Chronicles than I am Legends. I watched the 1st episode and was intrigued, but not hooked. It IS much better, but Sean is STILL the only draw. The acting by the other cast members seems improved. The story line has potential but so far, I found it lacking something that I can't put my finger on. Obviously they want us to care about "Martin Odum" but do I really? Why should I ? Do i care about him because he is Sean Bean or do I just pity an amnesiac who has been abused? There's a big difference between caring and feeling sorry for someone. I need to a real reason to invest in his character. The one scene that stuck with me and made me start to care was the scene in the nursing home between Sean and the elderly man whom he thought may have been his father - that scene was brilliant and so strong! But...then they cut away and the momentum that scene had begun was lost. Sean was a true powerhouse in that scene. So, I am going to see if I can download or purchase the Frankenstein Chronicles from somewhere 1st, if I can't and I have to wait  - then I may breakdown and purchase Legends. I do hope it does better in the ratings though.

Thank you Patch !!!

Lab183 you have made some very GOOD POINTS about the NEW SEASON of LEGENDS that I didn't know.
First off I think your absolutely right about people leaving cable and just watching Netflix because of the cost.
That would explain why people are not viewing LEGENDS or other shows on TNT. Some of my friends are
watch the first season of LEGENDS on Netflix and are waiting for season 2 to be shown there as well. Most
people are not aware that food prices are EXPLODING in this country so the average person has less money
to send on entertainment which is why the movies are not doing as well as last year. I would like to know if
they know that people will watch LEGENDS on Netflix will that be good enough for a 3rd season ???? In this changing world ????

Hi Lasue,

Food prices are absolutely ridiculous; it's a weekly challenge for sure. I could rant a novel on this alone, but I will restrain myself.
Thanks to a wonderful and very kind new friend, I was able to see episode 2 of Legends, thank you! I was very relieved because it was edited much better than episode 1. It had a little more continuity even while it still had a lot of jumping between time frames and unknown and totally unfamiliar characters...I was at least able to start keeping track of who was whom. And Sean was well ..Sean perfect.   At this point it's too early for me to speculate about a 3rd season...what I will speculate on is that TNT's days are numbered. Netflix is even starting to produce their own original series and shows and some of them are better than I expected which has to make the Cable TV Ceo's pretty nervous. I think paying for a  TV show is a ridiculous concept in itself anyways - isn't that the point of all the x$#@ commercials?I used to pay almost $250.00 per month for cable tv/internet and phone. Now I pay $0 per month for regular tv access and get 20 or so different channels, $20 per month for my phone bill, and $10 per month for Netflix and $65 for internet. Not too bad - eh? I allow myself to splurge on Sean once per quarter...and that includes big screen movies at the movie theatre - so because he's been such a busy actor - he's blowing my budget big time! LOL! But oh yeah, he's worth it!  Giving up Sean has proven to be  :futile

TNT execs who put Legends on Monday night during football season should be dragged out by their tiny little dicks and strung up by their shriveled up balls. Its their own damn fault that the ratings are in the toilet. Hopefully, Sean will take that producer's hat he's wearing now and use it to get it moved to a better slot, or at least ensure it gets an encore airing later in the week. That's all I've got to say about the lack of ratings. This season is a whole new show and I'm loving how much darker and grittier it is.

Welcome back Sable! Hope things are getting better for you. I never even thought of Monday Night Football - ugh! My family is all about hockey and baseball so it wasn't in my radar. But dang! YES! It's hard to change the day its on because from what I can tell looking at the TV schedule, Monday night football has expanded to become Thursday night football also and Friday nights are all the pregame shows...It's nuts! The only live broadcast shows I watch on regular TV now are "The Blacklist" and "Once Upon A Time".

Yes, YES to a re-broadcast on a different night  - just may do the trick!
