Please understand that here in the USA, every other TV show is a Legends wannabe or knockoff. The Blacklist and Homeland were the best of the bunch and now Legends is chasing their titles and doing it well, but because it's already been done, it's tough to OUTDO them. Homeland and Legends share producers and they are extremely, extremely similar. Both shows ask the audience to see the gray areas in all the stories. There is no perfect hero and there is no perfect villain. Everyone is part hero and part villain. They want you to sympathize with how the terrorists came into being AND how a good man can be brought down into the darkness by having to fight fire with fire against criminals. It's all very "Cleanskin" like. So, basically I am suffering from terrorism and crime drama and violence overload. It's everywhere and it's too much. Yes, it's great that entertainment can make you "think" and expand your perceptions of the world, but can't it be fun and do that too?
I love that Sean FINALLY has the starring role he so deserves in an American TV series, which I thought he had in Game of Incest, ...sorry GOT ;) He made such an impact on that show as a perfect hero type and the only true hero that the show had in it, that he is still beloved, completely beloved as Ned Stark here. But it was SOOOO short lived! UGH! So, this was a great second chance. But enough already with this particular genre - action drama aka violence overload. I want something more, something even better for him - the Frankenstein Chronicles is just what the doctor ordered! And I want more, more, more! Not necessarily period drama...just something as different and compelling as it is! I want him to really shine so everyone else can see him how WE all see him. Sigh - thanks for listening to my rant!
