Just watched episode 6 - is it me or was there less Sean than ever in this episode? What little there was, was great  - especially his scenes with Kate and Ilyana. Ilyana and he have decent chemistry but what is it with Sean and his chemistry with other women on screen lately? Does it feel like he holds so much back to you all too? I love the looks he gives to them especially when they are supposedly not watching. It's perfect. But...when it comes to the kissing & touching bits, and the eye contact (or lack thereof) it goes a little cold. I dunno, even with Eva Longoria in that Any Day movie he seemed aloof somehow.  Maybe it's just my jealousy showing?!! I mean he's so hot! I keep expecting to see heat and steam rising up from him and his on screen lover and I never seem to get it.  :frustrate:

I think the most heat I saw was between him and Sophie Marceau for Anna Karenina and normally I think she is cold fish. He was great as Lovelace but Saskia was the one who held back which was proper for the story but omg talk about frustration for me. With Scarlett,  I felt very little heat between him and Joanne Whalley (sp?) And that was sad because he just ooozed sex appeal in that role. I felt he "went for it" in Lady Chatterly but his costar did not unfortunately - I mean she's beautiful but again something cold there. The most heat in Sharpe was between him and Abigail and him and Alice Krieg in Sharpe's Honour. Those Sharpe's are my fave love scenes for him ever.

I am so greedy!  :phbbbt

This was a really good episode! It is so fast-paced that I was stunned when it ended, it seemed so short. Not sure if there was a lot less of him. Next week should be more, going by the title of the episode.

Ouf, no... I think he and Klara Issova are hot together. And he went right for her neck and bottom, which he doesn't always do. But they cut that scene very short; I mean, the kiss was 4 seconds long! The kisses in Sharpe were much longer.

Maybe it depends a lot on us, and what we bring to it, and whether we like the actress or not. I mean, I can't even comment on AK because I had such an irrational dislike of SM because of those ridiculous bangs that she wears in e v e r y role. Agree with you about Joanne Whalley, but I thought he and Joely Richardson were absolutely perfect together. My favourite Sharpe kisses were probably with Teresa and Lady Farthingdale. And those scenes were long and slow as molasses compared to how fast they change scenes in Legends!

I think Sean is brilliant at showing sexual hunger on screen but I agree with lab183, apart from the bodice-ripping Sharpe scenes, there is something missing from many of his on-screen encounters. I think (and god, this is only the most tentative surmise) that he may not actually be as interested in sex as his on-screen sexual charisma would suggest. And so he has learned the way to show it in character but somehow, there is something that feels not entirely convincing. Just a thought!

Yeah, I know I am being greedy. But I agree with patch that he may still be uncomfortable with the physical side of the love scenes even after all these years.

And you are so right crossing sweeper, that he is brilliant at showing sexual hunger on screen. Gotta love those exchanged glances and what he says and how he says it. But something is missing int the actual bodice ripping! Uh=OH! I think I sound like a man here looking for something akin to porno - yikes! But I am not!

And I think Rebecca is onto something in regards to "how fast they change scenes in Legends!"

Gimme slow, steamy, sexy Sean!! Geesh - have some pity for my SBOD! :pant:

Sean Bean's Legends And 2 More Canceled By TNT

Quote
Tis the season to be jolly, but it’s hard to keep up positive appearances when your TV show has just been canceled. Big changes are coming to TNT in the future, and it’s a future that will be missing the dramas Legends, Public Morals and Agent X.

Still in the midst of Season 2, Legends stars Sean Bean as Martin Odum, an FBI agent who goes undercover for his problematic cases by pretending to be a different person. The show was completely retooled for Season 2, but the applauded effort didn’t help to bring in any more viewers, as the last six episodes equal around half of the audience that tuned in for the majority of Season 1. Sucks to know we won’t see Bean in action in this capacity anymore, but this is the rare occurrence of one of the actor’s projects dying before his character does.

That would have been funny though. Another inside joke for Sean fans, but...probably not really appropriate I suppose. Oh well!
