He's an arresting sight! Sean Bean has pretty co-star surrendering as he plays FBI operative in new series Legends

Quote
He ended up being beheaded in his previous role as Ned Stark in hit show Game Of Thrones.

But Sean Bean’s latest character looks set to be somewhat more long-living, as he plays master of disguise - FBI operative Martin Odum.

The 55-year-old was seen getting to work on the series in a park in LA alongside Necar Zadegan, who was seen raising her hands in the air as if surrendering, on Tuesday.

First Look: Sean Bean Plays Special Agent in TNT's Legends
Quote
Who is Martin Odum (Sean Bean)? That's the question behind TNT's thriller Legends (premiering August 13). The Game of Thrones alum portrays an FBI agent adept at assuming false identities — until a mysterious encounter forces him to question his own.

"It's fascinating to see how this man gets lost psychologically in his own persona," Bean says. "You have to go in and out of these people, and that messes up your head, so I have to be careful!"

This Legends show is no Game of Thrones, that's for sure

Quote
Sean Bean, professional hardman, has been larking about in downtown LA this week, filming for his new TV show, Legends. If these pictures are anything to go by, it will be a right load of old tosh and unworthy of the amazing acting talent of Sean 'Eddard Stark' 'Sharpe' 'Horace Clark' Bean.

Let us consider the evidence:

TNT Drama ‘Legends’ Starring Sean Bean to Open ATX Television Festival

Quote
If your only encounters with Sean Bean have involved swords and dragons, you’re missing out. Bean’s exposure momentarily blew up when he was shot by a few dozen arrows in The Fellowship of the Ring, but the 55-year-old actor has had a surprisingly diverse career, popping up as James Bond’s friend-turned-enemy in Goldeneye, Christian Bale’s poem-loving partner in Equilibrium, Henry the VIII in the TV movie of the same name, and an unscrupulous local businessman in the excellent miniseries Red Riding. Bean also did an admirable job in the inane film adaptation of the video game series Silent Hill, and the inexplicably contrived Jodie Foster thriller Flightplan, neither of which required any real acting. He found his greatest success on a little show called Game of Thrones, which you may have heard about.

Sean Bean Stars as an Undercover Agent with One Hell of an Identity Crisis In TNT's Suspenseful New Drama Series Legends

Quote
As Martin tries to find answers to the questions about his identity, he must also continue his primary job as an undercover operative, taking on such roles as a Serbian extremist, a Scottish soccer club executive, a corrupt Chicago police officer, British special forces colonel and a legendary computer hacker. There are many times, however, when he must choose between the demands of his job and his desperate desire to solve the mystery of his own identity. And he doesn't always make the right choice.

Quote

“Game of Thrones” alum Sean Bean goes undercover this summer in TNT’s “Legends” and AccessHollywood.com has your first look at the key art from his new drama.

The art for the show offers hints at the intrigue ahead.

The poster features what looks to be a blacked out classified document, but important words and phrases come to light like “FBI operative,” “psychological assessment needed,” and “possible fugue state.”
