We appreciate the tweets but why in seven hells don't these people take photos?  AAAARGH!!!!!

But nice to know what I'm getting for Christmas!  The TV gods give with one hand, and take away "Downton" with the other, balance in the universe.

Tourists turned away as museum hosts film shoot for Frankenstein

Quote
It is usually one of the busiest days on the tourist calendar for Down County Museum, but yesterday public access to the historic building was prohibited.

The 18th century County Gaol in Downpatrick was securely sealed off from prying eyes as it was transformed into a production set for the filming of The Frankenstein Chronicles, starring Sean Bean.

Built in 1796, the former gaol provided the perfect location to shoot scenes for the highly anticipated six-part drama to be shown on ITV.

As news of the shoot filtered out, fans of the English actor, whose credits include Game of Thrones, The Lord of the Rings and Jupiter Ascending, turned up in the hope of catching a glimpse of the star.

But the building was securely cordoned off, much to their disappointment.

Competition For Drama Heats Up While Reality Recalibrates – MIPTV

Quote
For several international television markets now, the search has been on for the next big unscripted primetime show. That’s still the case, but the drumbeat has softened as significant competition is heating up in the drama space. Sales execs and buyers I’ve spoken to have a hard time pinpointing what the exact story of this Mip-TV will turn out to be, but drama is high on the Riviera.

The Frankenstein Chronicles – in which star Sean Bean is not expected to die in the first season, I am assured – is another series that’s in play from the newly-christened Endemol Shine International.

And still not one damned mention on the local news despite all of the filming in so many locations, the upheaval of traffic and the closure of the museum over the Easter weekend.  I get that the BBC are far too up their own arses to lower themselves to the point of commenting on something ITV might be filming in the area but their remit is to report on ALL local news not just an edited version that suits them, and we licence payers fund their productions and keep them all in jobs so I am not a happy bunny having been monitoring all three broadcasts every day since he got there just in case there was anything to post.  And who is the slimy little git who decided they shouldn't comment on the filming - they need to go, never mind Clarkson.

*Muttley style grumbling!*

And that's the last contract they'll get!  No-one wants any part of the filming buggered up by lolly-gaggers so you don't blinkin' advertise the where and when - I*D*I*O*T*S.

Frankenstein prepares to move in to Northern Ireland village

Quote
Residents of a small village are bracing themselves for the arrival of Frankenstein at a 400-year-old castle on their doorsteps.

Galgorm on the outskirts of Ballymena, Co Antrim is better known for its lavish golf course and luxury hotel.

But this week it will be the setting for new big budget ITV series ‘The Frankenstein Chronicles’, starring Game of Thrones actor Sean Bean.

Galgorm Castle, which dates back to the early 1600s, has been chosen as one of the main filming locations for the horror show.

The cast and crew are expected to begin filming on Wednesday, with scenes staged in Galgorm for the next fortnight.

Bean plays Inspector John Marlott in the forthcoming series.

How much longer will they be filming for? Are they not cutting it close to Legends?

I'm pretty sure they started filming season 1 in April last year.

Yes they were filming Legends in April last year - he was in LA for his birthday.....  which is why I'm a bit confused about how it's all going to fit  - filming/editing etc in time for the scheduled transmission dates when he's still in Ireland and will be for the next couple of weeks as that takes him into the beginning of May.

They can easily cut it close since all of Sean's parts in Legends is set to shoot at locations in Europe. Its also highly likely that they are already shooting the LA portions of the series already. Remember, Martin is on the run and all the clues to his past point directly back to MI6.
