Well, that's nice, I guess, but Sean should have been nominated -- and won-- for his acting.

And how are they doing it for 2016, when it finished airing in December, 2015? Or I've got that wrong?

Ah, my goof. I was thinking we were already one year on from the last BAFTAs, but I checked and I see that those were only the film awards, not television, and it was just in February.  :arrrgh:  Don't mind me: I keep thinking, "I'm losing my mind" when I actually lost it a long time ago!

Here's hoping he gets nominated!!!

To be honest I'm not surprised.

ITV chose to show it on their Encore premium pay channel which only just started last year.  It had a pretty small audience in the UK - the majority of us do not suscribe to pay channels but rely on the terrestial BBC/ITV offerings.

If ITV had followed up with a showing on one of their main channels, it would have picked up more viewers and a lot more interest - but they didn't.

It was also up against some of the most hyped up programmes/actors in recent years which certainly didn't help.

Well, I have said it before and I will say it again, you have to get used to being FRUSTRATED if you want to be
a FAN of SEAN !!! He will always be the DARK HORSE in these award shows. They will ignore all of his
BRILLANT ACTING and just give their awards to friends and family, but never to him !!! It would be so easy for
me to just be a fan of BP or GC or any of the other actors they want (demand) you to like (worship). But they
don't have SEAN'S TALENT and I find them to be just BORING and NOT INTERESTING. I HATE to say this, but
I think SEAN will get (some day) more awards in this country than in the UK. Anyway, I'm happy to be SEAN'S
FAN even if he NEVER GETS a BIG ACTING AWARD. He's still the BEST in my book.

Funny thing is, he has an Emmy, which is one of the biggest acting awards. Ironically, because it is an International Emmy, nobody cares...

Mind you, he's made some bad choices when it comes to parts. Sean is always brilliant but often gets overlooked because the shows he's in are pretty so-so. The BAFTAS for telly go to big BBC-ish shows that receive a lot of coverage and have lots of major British stars in. Sean seems to have dropped out of that British loop. This is a great pity.

I would imagine that it can be hard to tell if the show is going to be a success or not in the beginning. But, I will say that Sean could possibly benefit from seeking some other people's advice about a script he's been offered. Airborne, anyone? '-)

I think TFC was brilliant. I also think Season 2 of Legends was very good, much better than season 1 but, both TV networks mishandled these shows. It was not Sean's fault acting wise or choosing a bad show that was the problem. I think he is getting better at choosing better shows and movies. Just because the shows were overlooked for awards, does not necessarily mean that Sean's performance or that his creative input into the production is not being noticed. Look at Red Riding - another really high quality show that did well but seemed to do even  better after it was originally aired and it got Sir Ridley Scott to notice Sean again. So, you never know what may lead to what...a professional reputation and a consistent overall body of work is still very important in the entertainment industry.

I want Sean to get the awards because his performances always deserve them. I think he likes to be on the cutting edge, to be a rebel or Pioneer type  which is why he doesn't play the suck up game. So because of this, he is willing to take risks as to what network and who is in charge, etc. For a while I was always lamenting him to grow up and just play nice to the BBC types but I think its more about his integrity than anything else now. He's just not comfortable playing the BBC popularity game. I mean come on, could you see him playing a role in Downton Abbey? What character? It's just not what he wants to do.

Accused was a brave choice and so was GOT,no one could predict that was going to be as big as it became.
