Jupiter Ascending is currently at $124.2 million. I will add it once it is done its theatre run.

Hopefully it will make its money back on DVD so we can see a sequel with more Stinger :P

How big is the market in China for movies like these? Do they really add a lot to the Worldwide Box Office?

If I recall correctly, Silent Hill made more in China and Japan than it did in the US and Europe. They're particularly fond of SyFy/Fantasy and Horror genre films.

Around-the-World Roundup: 'Jupiter Ascending' Opens to $23 Million in China

Quote
Thanks to a solid debut in China, Jupiter Ascending took the top spot at the international box office this weekend.

The movie opened to $23.2 million in the world's second-largest market, which is more than it earned in its first weekend in the U.S. Through just three days, Jupiter Ascending has grossed more in China than in its next three international markets combined.

So far, Jupiter Ascending has taken in $107 million overseas. With another $30-million-plus on the way in China, plus an opening in Japan, it should ultimately reach $150 million overseas. Regardless, with a weak domestic number and a massive budget, the movie is still poised to lose a ton of money.

Thanks to China, Jupiter Ascending is now sitting at a WW gross of $171.2 million.
Maybe it will break $200 million with the Japanese release.

Thanks :P.

It doesn't appear that Japan made much of a difference. After JA's final opening it is sitting at $179,295,718 worldwide.

It will heavily depend on home media sales. The box office did not return the investment.  Maybe it is for the better, now Bean could do better things.

Total Box Office (As of April 2015): $5,661,453,119

Can Sean Bean's cumulative box office gross reach $6 billion by the end of 2015?  I'm sure between Pixels and the Martian it'll happen!

Pixels releases this week! I think it will be a success at the box office! I really think there is a shot his cumulative WW box office can gross over $6 billion by the end of the year with this and The Martian still to come!

If anybody has any word on how Any Day performed in its limited theatrical run, please post :).
