A new TV adaptation of DH Lawrence's notorious novel, scripted by Jed "Line of Duty" Mercurio, airs tonight on BBC1 at 9pm. How much do you know about the scandalous classic?

Too many peripheral questions, that is, not having to do with either Sean Bean or DH Lawrence (humphf!) , means I got only 5/8.

I managed 6 but yes, odd questions - I liked the one about a cause of impotence being named Clifford - ouch if you are!

At the time I took it, the site was saying the average score was 3.

I would have gotten 5 right if I had kept the correct answer for the question of where the book was first published, but I changed it at the last second.  If the questions had only been about Sean's movie, I would have done a lot better, but it was funny to see the comment I received for only getting 4 right.
