Dressed by Angels: 175 Years of Costumes – Old Truman Brewery London from 2 October 2015 – 3 January 2016

Excitement for period drama fans in the TV Classics room who can see the uniform worn by Ross Poldark in the most recent adaptation as well as Sean Bean’s Sharp suit.

I wondered about this exhibition when I saw some coverage of it on a local news programme - hmmmm!

Bloody exhibition has closed!  The event organisers had been given no explanation but I'm guessing the east end isn't everyone's idea of a good place to visit; not central, scary after dark etc.  Very disappointing whatever the reason though it saves me from being arrested and charged with a sexual offence against the costume - oh baby, there are parts of those trousers that just need to be cupped gently - and the subsequent restraining order from Sean when the story got out!

Consoling myself with wonderfully cheesy '70's music!

Dressed by Angels exhibition at the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane
Quote
Celebrating the amazing work that has come from this costumiers for many decades now was the Dressed by Angels exhibition at the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane in London. Unfortunately the exhibit lasted just short of two months, but I managed to pop by for a visit while it was on and it was an incredible experience.

If you didn't manage to go to the exhibition while it was on, you can still admire some of the pieces in my pictures below.

Have fun playing the guess-who-wore-it game and if you want to know more about any costume in particular, just leave a comment below!
