The book that Legends was based on
« on: January 31, 2016, 03:01:00 PM »
I know that the TV show was only loosely based on the idea and didn't follow the book closely, but it looks pretty good in and of itself so I've ordered Legends: A Novel of Dissimulation by Robert Littell. Has anybody read it? I'm hoping I'll like this author since I've finished all the Bernie Gunther and Jack Reacher books, and the last 3 books my book club has done I could hardly start let alone finish, so I'm casting about.

I read the book months before the series started on TV, as soon as I knew that Sean Bean would play Martin Odum. I liked the book a lot !

Good to hear! It should arrive any day.  Did you like it enough to read more by that author?

Well, I am not a fan of so called thrillers, so - up to now - no.

Well, in cases like that I always think  it's a bit hilarious.
The book might be more than 100 years old, but it still says:

'Pride and Prejudice' - the book after the TV Mini Series.  :catlaff
