I see they're still mentioning Karl Urban, even though there's no mention of him on the official site. Maybe he's supposed to be a surprise guest?

If Sean's coming back for the second panel on Saturday evening, I'll have to try to get into that one too. I read a post elsewhere from some guy who goes to these events a lot. He said that they usually clear the room after a panel is over and don't let you just stay in your seat to wait for the next one, which means that we'd have to go out after the first panel and get in line all over again. What a pain.

Karl Urban is officially confirmed now. I still haven't found any indication on the main website of Sean showing up on Friday, though, or of Sean and Karl joining the hobbit panel or having a photo op with the hobbits.

I have wondered about that one also. You're supposed to get in line for a photo op no later than ten minutes before it's scheduled to start, which is a bit tricky if it's scheduled to start at the same time the place opens.

If these people have VIP passes, though, they can get in 30 minutes early.

There are now some more official-looking guest schedules here:

https://wizardworld.com/guest-schedules/philadelphia

Sean's complete schedule is on Page 2. There's definitely no sign of a Friday appearance, so that must have been a mistake in the earlier photo op schedule. It doesn't look like he'll be going to the hobbit panel, because he has autographs scheduled during it (though I guess he could cancel the autographs if he really wants to join the panel). But the LOTR group photo op is listed, so that's real.

My husband and I popped in there today also. Sean's schedule for Sunday has been expanded, but there's still no indication that he intends to join in the hobbit panel on Saturday.

I took a couple of pics of his booth as well.

All -- apologies for the delays -- making some schedule accomodations for anyone missing photo ops right now, so as soon as you're in, head to your op -- it will still be open!

...... On line for Sebastian but have Sean bean at 11:15 is that being adjusted too?

He was 20 minutes late for the 10:15 autograph session on Saturday for some reason. Since he stayed with the autograph throng past the scheduled end time to make up for being late, he was 30 minutes late for the 11:15 photo op. Luckily his photo op line wasn't all that long, so he got back on track. And he was wise enough to cut his 45-minute evening panel down to 30 minutes so he had time to make it to the group photo op afterwards.

I was just fine, by the way, and will give a report in a while.

By the way, those group photo ops on Saturday evening were so popular that the hobbit panel was 50 minutes late. We were tortured that whole time with blaring, godawful hard rock music until someone finally took pity on us and changed to a mellow 70's set. My poor husband had to leave the auditorium multiple times to escape from it.

1001 Ways To Die On Film With SEAN BEAN At Wizard World Philly

Quote
Sean Bean is a god among the nerd community. His filmography features major pillars of nerdom such as Lord Of The Rings, Game Of Thrones, and Goldeneye. Other than his impressive acting chops, nerd-friendly collection of iconic roles, and popular memes, he is known for another thing. He dies in every movie, ever.

What was an ongoing joke among film buffs for years eventually made it’s way to the man himself. Our beloved Sean Bean sat down for a panel with an auditorium full of adoring fans at Wizard World Philadelphia. One thing was very clear from the beginning, Mr. Bean is very aware of his status as both the subject of some of the most popular memes on the interest and his reputation for great characters that always die.

Not only is he aware of his high on-screen death count, but he claims to have his eye on perhaps passing Christopher Lee’s number. After a lovely introduction and some time with Bean sharing his Philadelphia experience, the floor opened for questions by the audience.

When asked which of his character’s demises he would want to live through, if he had to choose one, he gave a heartfelt answer. “I would choose Boromir’s death. It was a very human and significant final moment where a troubled man was finally at peace with himself after some questionable choices.”

One fan inquired about which character he would have liked to stick around for a little longer. “Probably all of them,” he spits out before the room erupts with laughter.

“I would’ve maybe liked to stick around either Lord Of The Rings or Game Of Thrones a bit longer given how long they both have lasted and how important they are to everyone.”

Well-constructed questions give way to well-thought answers off-the-cuff as Bean charms us all through stories of he and his character’s ways of thinking and approaching obstacles. He mentions being blown away by Ian McKellen in Macbeth, how he’s a major hero of his, and how surreal working alongside him was.

The scenes he was most proud of from GOT were those with Ned Stark’s children. “Ned was trapped between his obligations to his family and being king. He eventually made the wrong decision, that dichotomy was very powerful to me.”

The best possible answer came when asked what his most memorable scene from LOTR was. He simply responded with “honestly, my death.”

Some guests also had their own panels that were open to all attendees. Sean Bean’s panel, “1001 Ways to Die”, gave audiences a chance to delve into Bean’s long, storied career

I kept forgetting to post this. It shows what Sean's timetable looked like after his Sunday schedule was expanded:

I walked by a few times hoping to catch sight of him during that final Sunday afternoon autograph session. But the first two times I checked, he wasn't there yet, and the last time (around 2:45) he'd already gone.
