It strikes me that the humour that runs through this board is generally very funny, very wicked and often downright sick! :likeit: In various interviews etc we get snippets of what sort of music Sean likes, or hobbies etc. Anyone come across anything where he talks about what makes him laugh??
-
A whoopy cushion?

......... and we've sunk this low so soon!! :mutley:

Sorry, couldn't resist .....

What makes Sean laugh? Having a few beers with the boys after work:

-
In the buff ....
-
I think everybody has the happy puppy syndrom after the 5th beer. :beer2:
-
Seems to me I read somewhere that he likes a good joke, but admits he can't tell them very well. I suspect he can't keep a straight face. Another snippet (again, I don't remember - hell, I just read this stuff and some of it sticks in my head) was about :bride: - he indicated that one of the things he liked about her was that she made him laugh.
She makes me laugh too. Just not in a nice way.

Good one Lighty :-)
I think I donīt have enough feeling for his native language - I think the british humor is very very unique and special - with my britsh clients I laugh a lot but feel often stupid - they love to make an idiot out of me, telling me stories (and me: wow - never heard that) and itīs all fake. They are very cheeky and men flirt in a funny way. Like one of them (I mean : itīs a CLIENT!) said the other day something like " hey girl - wearing that dangerous cleavage dress again?"
A german guy would never ever do that! (on the other hand: most of them are pretty boring - lol)
So I imagine often, Sean would laugh his a... off about some of our discussions.
Well - maybe about discussions incl. :bride: he would laugh NOT !

Yes, SM, I'm sure he goes with that old adage - "love me, love my dog."
:evillaugh

You mean he wants us to love his dog? I didn't know he had a dog. Oh, wait...yes, now I remember...(http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n158/Sable899/Junk/girlswhitegirl.jpg)

Actually, that's his neighbor's dog - this is Sean's dog:

Minnie Pearl? OMG!!!!! I thought I was the only one who knew who that was!

Is it just my old eyes playing games, but could Minnie be Bean4's granny?
-
:rotfl1:
Good one, Sable! But, please, who is Minnie Pearl?

TT: Look here:

Donīt know - canīt see hair under that hat! Guess :bride: has golden credit cards tagged on her instead of price tags.....
Aaah - thanks Kimmy - never heard of her.
She was known for wearing a big hat with a price tag that read "$1.98" hanging off the side.

-
very true!
-
I was thinking the same thing.
-
Has that given him a lot to laugh about then recently Lighty ( resident footie expert)?
-
what makes Sean Laugh? When some-one has an upset tummy and then has to run to the toilet
(Remember the clip from the making of Challenge) :sooobad
Poor SEan he rlly was quite ill with it himself!
-
That's why he was allowed to laugh at poor Toby .....
:catlaff
-
Has that given him a lot to laugh about then recently Lighty ( resident footie expert)?
No. Unless it's that 'laugh so I don't cry' kind of thing. Blades have won 2 points out of the last 18 points possible (Loss - Draw - Draw - Loss - Loss - Loss), including our first loss at home, yesterday to Cardiff.
The Cardiff match was an improvement over the two previous, and we almost clawed back to a draw - but no joy.
It's grim at the Lane. A big part of the problem has been injuries - we've had six - SIX - of our lads out. It looks like we may be getting some relief on that front, but it's still bad. We're working with a lot of loanees, as a result (the maximum Kevin can use, in many cases) - and the back four have broken down badly . . . which is VERY bad as they have been a strength.
To make matters worse, the appeal to challenge the 9-month ban on Paddy Kenny was dismissed by the FA . . . I think they've stuck their foot in it, frankly, because the next time it happens and the player is shown to have taken drugs to enhance performance (which Paddy was NOT doing), what are they going to do? It will have to be at least a 2-year ban. If it's a PL player, all hell will break loose.
Oh well - not our problem, that - except that we are really, really, really feeling Paddy's absence. Mark Bunn has not come up to snuff, and though yesterday Ian Bennett did better than Bunn has been doing, neither one comes up to Paddy's level. More than his ability to stop the ball, Paddy has really good control of his area and is really good at giving direction to the back four.
Right now being a Blade is a true test of how committed a supporter you are - because the season is definitely at the "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" stage.
UTB!
-
You know what I love about that clip, kimmy? That they couldn't be buggered to take the price tag off the bottom of the cup!
I don't know what Sean's laughing about in the pic, but what you mean makes me laugh so hard :catlaff
-
Apparently he loves Alan Partridge "Knowing me, Knowing you" He said in an interview that even the repeats have him dying with laughter. Check it out on You Tube, Im sure there are loads of clips. It was funny, but I must say I didnt find it hilarious.

Well, I can see how he might - Partridge has a kind of self-deprecating humour that I suspect is pretty natural for Sean. "Foot in mouth" stuff and then trying to extricate himself from it (badly). I watched a couple of clips - the Yule one was more annoying than anything else, but the farmer interview was funny!
-
Alan Partridge: annoying at the best of times! :sorry:
-
Yeah - he's 'guy' humour, for sure . . . a prime example of why most women don't WANT to join the menfolk congregated around the backyard barbecue, necking back beer. We just don't find the same things amusing, all the time.
-
I wonder if he met Steve Googan (Alan Partridge) on the set of Percy Jackson. He would've made him laugh!
We know Kevin McKidd did.
This would make him smile at least.

Godness. :vomit: lol
Sorry, but this is the first time I actually see what a chip butty looks like and it's very early in the morning...*shiver*
Thanks, patch. I'm always delighted to learn something new.:-)
-
Looks like your cholesterol level is 5000 now.
-
I've read that they can also have tomato sauce or ketchup on them. (http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y153/naturelove/ChipButtysmall.jpg)
-
Oh, I see. Well, that certainly changes everything. :mutley:
-
I heard mayo is often put on after the butter is melted. :vomit:
-
What?????? OMG :kotzreiz:
-
That is disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you don't stop I post pics drowned bodies. No I should talk bullet wounds they look the same. :mutley:
-
Mike, I suggest you don't watch this then:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-5PeCvt51A (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-5PeCvt51A)
And here's a Canadian version:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a46mEJbdW_w (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a46mEJbdW_w)
-
I'm sure Sean loves them .....
-
Oh, and apparently the Canadians also put cheese curds on theirs as well as the BBQ sauce.
-
I wonder if Sean prefers a bun for his chip butty, or if he would rather have it on sliced loaf bread?
-
one comment...yuck!
-
:whiteflag: :whiteflag: :whiteflag: Could you stop that, please!! lol Every morning I have to watch one more of these disgusting thingies.
I'm wondering how the English manage to reach the age of 25. BF, did you actually give this stuff to your kids????
-
No TT, I didn;t but chip butties are more typical in the north of the country.
Now i've ahd enough of this British grub bashing!! (and XB and i have stoode this ground before here!) Don't tell me that you haven't all got something horribly unhealthy that'a a well know delicacy. I had a wonderful portion of chips in Amsterdam which was the size of a small castle and i could have smothered it in a hundred different types of sauces -including mayo. In the UK the size of portions served in the US is always a matter of humour and awe. These things are everywhere but it's a matter of choice about whether you eat them or not.
Other equivalents of the chip butties from other countries please??
-
Hmmmm...must give this a thought...I'm sure there must be something in Sweden, that others might find yuckie. :whiteflag:
-
lol, BF. Fair enough. :foryou:
A special from my region. Called: Currywurst mit Pommes 'rot-weiß'. (sausage in curry sauce and chips with ketchup (red) and mayonnaise (white).

Eek! Those pictures are stomach churning, tinytim, and not just because I don't eat meat. :vomit:
Every country has fatty, unhealthy, and/or rather disgusting dishes. We have a lot of fried foods in the southern US. This topic made me think of Elvis Presley's favorite snack, a fried peanut butter sandwich. It consisted of white bread, mashed bananas, peanut butter, and butter (or bacon fat) to fry it in. It could also include slices of bacon on it.
-
Another ugly food. :arrrgh: This is horror.
OK, you asked for it. You showed this food I show you something nice now. OK, cos I know some are a bit sensitive so don't click on this link if you have a problem with dead people and forensic. :sooobad
Here my job:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-sU42hjNIk
-
OOOOOK!! I just barely made it a minute, so I wonder what this has to do with yuckie food?
(even though I find it somewhat interesting, in the pure scientist way, I didn't have the guts to watch it all)
And, yes, I know you warned us.
-
You totured me with nasty food so I have to find a nasty (ok not for me cos I earned my money with it) tit-for-tat response. :quiet:
I think I did it well. :mutley:
-
You sure did :mutley:
-
Eww, I couldn't watch much more than 30 seconds of that video.
We sure have strayed far from the topic here--What makes Sean laugh.
-
You already were it with that horribly food. :quiet:
-
Weird where the connections go, from laughter, to food, to dead bodies....to....where?
-
I bet this would make him laugh

Hey, MF! On the Food network, they were doing some food challenge in Memphis -- 4 chefs, 4 categories of sandwiches -- and one of the chefs did a version of the Elvis sandwich :evillaugh

I didn't know such a game excisted.
But this must have raised a smile at the time.
.....controversially Sheffield United's Bramall Lane ground occupies a more expensive slot than Wednesday's Hillsborough
http://www.thestar.co.uk/video/City-Monopoly-game-launched.3222620.jp
-
The makers of the game went through a phase of creating different city versions. Unfortunately they haven't always got it right or taken local feelings into consideration. (ie for the Bristol version they put in a reference to the Bath rugby team. Bath and Bristol rugby supporters are almost as fond of each other as United and Wednesday ones seem to be.)
-
Fiddlesticks!
I hope that this is just a joke but I doubt it.
-
I wonder if Sean ever played this game?
-
nice to learn something new.
:service
-
Apparently Viggo Mortensen does because he said in one interview that they have the same sense of humor. :laffat:
-
I don't think so. :mutley:

I think this would make him chuckle?

This just dawned on me, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Vincent Kapoor in the Martian was also Lola in Kinky Boots.
I wonder if they talked "walking in high heels" during the Martian shoot, compare notes about Tracie and Lola.
