I've thrown a few votes Viggo's way. It's just that I got so burned out in that poll when I was mega-voting for Sean during his month, and I didn't want to get caught up in that again.

If you are all in a voting mode, you can always go over to thebestwebsiteever.com and vote for Sean and seanbeanonline.net. I faithfully go there every day and use my 3 different accounts to vote for Sean and this site. Apparently Sean has very few fans there, because he has never won in any of the months since this site came back up. He is in 4th place in both the actor and celebrities categories, but at least seanbeanonline.net keeps winning each month.

I'm happy that he's on the list, especially seeing that he's the highest ranking of the older guys. I think things will be different for 2010 once Percy Jackson, Cash and Black Death come out and what with GoT likely getting into full production. He just hasn't had the exposure the past year. I don't know if the vote started on January 1 or not. I had completely forgotten about the annual poll until patch posted about it on January 5. Even though Sean is far behind the leaders, and has no chance at a win, I'll probably keep giving him a few votes a day. I'd like for him to at least maintain his position and not fall further in the poll. Why I'm voting at all is beyond me, but it's one of my obsessions about Sean. I like to see him do well.

My last vote of yesterday, actually it was today since it was a little after midnight--had Sean still in 6th place, about 600 votes ahead of Brad Pitt. Now he's only a hundred or so votes ahead of him. And Hugh Laurie wasn't a threat at all, but his fans sure are voting like crazy. I hate that Sean slipped into 7th place. Maybe we can at least keep him ahead of Brad Pitt.

Presumably he looks at the results - perhaps going from wherever he was last year to a piss-poor finish this year (even leaving the top three contenders out of comparison, since they are lightyears ahead of the pack) . . .

Hugh Laurie is a couple of months younger than Sean and Pitt is four years younger, so he couldn't convince himself it was age that did him in.

Personally, I can't be bothered with it - I still think he's an enormously attractive man, but I'm not interested in securing him a 5th or 6th spot finish in a poll like that - particularly when he was winning them just a few years ago. Time to let go. He has . . .

I do recall an old, old, old interview wth some men's mag where they asked him about the poll and asked him how he felt about being second... and his response was to the effect of "2nd? Really? Who was first." "Bloom? Ahh... should have known that wanker would be the winner."

The more exposure he gets the easier it is for him to win. The poll has always been a reflection of what was the hot body of the moment. Its just the loyalty of Sean's fans that have pushed him to the finals. I'm happy just to see him in the top tier considering the strength of the fanbases of the competition.
