A good match against a league two side - I wish we played this well in our division!

Not a bad match, though Quinny STILL can't seem to figure out when to release the ball.  I'm thinking someone needs to invent a device to install in his shorts - it would recognize the moment he should release the ball and give him a little tickle.  If he doesn't release it within 2 seconds of the tickle, it would give him a shock right in the arse.

A squeaker - and us without Monty and Cressy both (Cressy ill and Monty's twin daughters in hospital *best to the family - yikes*).  Doyle wore the captain's armband.

Oh NO.  I am stunned.  This is incredibly sad.  RIP, Gary - and condolences to his family.

Only got to listen to bits and pieces - the internet stream was awful today (and I'd blame it on the weather, except the other South Yorkshire matches were coming through loud and clear.)

I did get to hear Evan's first goal - apparently he took off his shirt (had another underneath, in memory of Gary Speed - I think all the squad were wearing them underneath).  The referee allowed it - which was kind.

Two own goals by Bournemouth, though Cressy had a solid goal disallowed that would have made a winner in another dimension . . . we played better ball, overall.

Huddersfield held Wednesday with a leveler in the last minute of the match (4-4), so we are only two points behind the Owls and have a better GD.  Preston is currently one up over MD Dons (interestingly), which could - potentially - leave us safely in the third slot for the week.  *go, Lilywhites!*

Pretty good match - Notts County scored first, but United pulled ahead and didn't let them through.  James Beattie was on the bench and sent onto the pitch the last minutes of the match - he is apparently still not as fit as hoped, which doesn't bode well for a continuation of this trial contract.

A shame; he is very young to have his career end so ignominiously.

That said - we are currently in second with one point over Wednesday.  We play Hartlepool at the gawdawful (from my perspective of Pacific time zone) hour of 1pm on Saturday.  Another home match.

Woot!  Even if I have to get up at 5am . . .

Only place I'm sure of is the Blades Super Store, through the club.  I've only bought one thing from them by mail - a hoodie - the year they went up to the Premiership.  They don't have nearly as much of a selection these days; I'm sure they're cutting back to save money.

They have some women's leisure wear (mostly t-shirts) and of course they have replica kit, if you're into that sort of thing.  Or, you can buy other stuff - badges, scarves, cups, etc.  Shipping is pricey from the UK so be prepared for that.  My hoodie was on sale and with shipping it still cost me about $80 (remember the exchange rate - which was much worse in 2006).  ouch

Here's the link to the website:  http://www.sufcdirect.co.uk/
