I really thought the Blades would be winning more games this season.  They have a halfway decent team.  Oh well.............

Manager Weir departs as Blades Boss

Quote

17:35 11th October 2013
Sheffield United today announced that it has relieved first team manager David Weir of his duties along with his assistant Lee Carsley.
Overseeing the team on an interim basis for Sunday's televised fixture against Coventry will be U21 coach Chris Morgan, goalkeeping coach Darren Ward and head of academy coaching Travis Binnion.

At this point, no manager in their right mind would sign on - the Blades have had 10 management changes since 2007, and there's not even any proof that sacking a manager mid-season has any effect on performance. (interesting article on this, below)

They have money to invest.  They need to buy (and it will cost them) a very experienced manager with contract stipulations that they will not be sacked for at least two years, regardless of team performance, and get this mess sorted out.

Well - making lemonade from lemons . . . at least they pulled back two after going three down.
And they can't drop any further in this table . . . so there's that . . .

sigh.
