Thanks for posting these. Our local cable company has been playing Windprints recently. It is a really good movie and Sean is very good it it. I have watched it about 3 times in the last 2 months and as one of his first works it is very impressive.

The high-waist jeans were not just a fashion fad as far as he's concerned since he STILL wears his jeans like that. If you'll notice, even in his Sharpe uniform, hell, even in the buff in LC, he really doesn't have a waist. He goes straight from hips to rib cage.

Works for me *grin!* - dudes should be built like inverted triangles. Broad shoulder slimming down to lean hips and a tight arse.

But those 80s trousers are damn near up to his ribcage, Sable - I think he has figured out that he can belt them a teeny bit lower and not lose them around his ankles. (remember those pics of him in the ratty faded jeans and tatty white sweatshirt, strolling through NW3? No belt at all and those jeans were clinging at his hips for dear life. Only thing that kept them up was the curve of his arse . . . I love those pictures . . . *fans self*)

Regardless, he looks lovely and young in these pictures.

He probably HAD to wear them that high up. At least now he's got a little bit more meat on his bones that helps when he buckles his belt.

Well could be - though I suspect he'd be loath to admit it. Probably say something rudely Northern if you suggested it, whilst rubbing his chin and with a bit of a twinkle in his eye. Given his prediliction for bespoke suits, uber-expensive shirts and designer jeans, he manages to be a clothes-hound while still looking like he rolled out of bed and dressed in the dark . . . I'm never sure if that's a good thing or no.

I do admire his taste in dress shirts - the one he's wearing in that photo probably set him back a pretty penneth or two; he sure as hell didn't pick it up on a two-for-one sale at Primark.
