I might, actually.  Found a pub nearby with a nice set-up.  Depends on how busy it gets; I hate crowded bars.

There was a piece on the radio this morning around how we all seem to have forgotten about this with the Jubilee and the Olympic build up.

Add to that a (very) recently appointed manager who has made some strange decisions in choosing his squad – ie he's not chosen the 'people's favourite ' plus there are a lot of injuries/bans affecting the squad. As a result no one is very optimistic about England's chances.

No doubt my OH will be watching at least some of the games and I suspect Sean will be in front of a TV somewhere.

I think the football has taken second place to politics with this tournament,,,,sadly.

Racism and Ukraine's human rights issues are taking centre stage.

Thats because the tits at UEFA as well as IOC are complete idiots. Planning large tournaments in countries with VERY questionable commitment to democracy and Human Rights is unacceptable.

The England team seems so frail and hasnt worked in ages, I dont give it a chance. Also, France is my 3rd team so, all bets on Sweden and France.

Shame to see Ireland fall apart yesterday. Wouldve also loved to see Spain take the lead at least but Im not surprised it came down to a draw. Italy and Spain are equally powerful.

ESPN will broadcast this match in the USA.  I am psyched that I get to see these matches but not sure for whom I should be rooting.

I don't think you're wrong - but I will continue to hope that England manages a draw.  The crunch match for them is on Tuesday, though; even beating Sweden won't save them if they lose against Ukraine.

England is through - and won their group! Color me just a teeny bit surprised (but pleased).

Italy on Sunday . . .
