There is actually a character named WILLIAM BLAKE on the cast list. I'm guessing that because of the time
period this is the real BLAKE who was a GREAT ARTIST and MYSTIC !!

So is this a sure thing? I know a lot of projects that Sean Bean have been attached to in the past did not pan out.

January is almost over, and I thought that that was when they were to start filming!

Hoping this is a sure thing!

When a series or film gets "commissioned" by ITV or BBC its a "sure" thing. When commissioning they put up the funds first and foremost. Its like commissioning a piece of art. Work begins almost immediately. Its like when a new season of Downton or Dr. Who gets commissioned.

‘Frankenstein Chronicles’ Adds ‘Game Of Thrones’ Actors & More To Join Sean Bean

Quote
ITV has set a large ensemble to join Sean Bean in six-part period crime drama The Frankenstein Chronicles. Rainmark Films is producing the “thrilling and terrifying” re-imagining of the Frankenstein myth that blends the investigation and horror genres. Bean plays Inspector John Marlott who is on a terrifying journey in pursuit of a chilling and diabolical foe.

Joining Bean are Anna Maxwell Martin (Philomena, The Bletchley Circle), Charlie Creed-Miles (Peaky Blinders), Ed Stoppard (The Musketeers), Elliot Cowan (Da Vinci’s Demons), Hugh O’Conor (Killing Bono), Joe Tucker (Bronson), Kate Dickie (Game Of Thrones), Lalor Roddy (Hunger), Patrick Fitzsymons (Game Of Thrones) and Richie Campbell (Lewis). Robbie Gee (Young Dracula), Ryan Sampson (Doctor Who), Samuel West (Mr Selfridge), Shaun Mason (Cilla), Steve Wilson (Ripper Street), Steven Berkoff (Witches Of East End), Stuart Graham (The Fall), Tom Ward (Death Comes To Pemberley) and Vanessa Kirby (Everest) will also star.

This Year Will Bring Not One, But Two  Frankenstein-Based TV Shows

Quote
It's a transatlantic duel of the Frankensteins! In one corner, ITV's Sean Bean-starring period drama The Frankenstein Chronicles. And in the other corner, Fox's crime drama Frankenstein. Fight, fight, fight!

As it stands, I'm leaning toward ITV's winning the fight

Anna Maxwell Martin joins Sean Bean in The Frankenstein Chronicles

More bodies pile up in ITV’s loose adaptation

Quote
Anna Maxwell Martin has been cast in ITV’s upcoming gothic period crime drama The Frankenstein Chronicles.

The Bletchely Circle actress joins Sean Bean in a "re-imagining" of the novel. The publicity materials also call it a "myth", but I'm not sure anyone believes Frankenstein actually happened and it wasn’t passed down by folklore. That said, Shelley is thought to have incorporated some Promethean myth from Ovid into the story (I digress).

Also joining Bean are Charlie Creed-Miles from Ripper Street and Peaky Blinders; Ed Stoppard (Cilla); Elliot Cowan (Da Vinci’s Demons) and about half the cast of Game of Thrones (Kate Dickie, Patrick Fitzsymons, Steve Wilson). Steven Berkoff is in there too.

Essentially, Frankenstein is going to be spoiled for choice when it comes to body parts.

The six-part adaptation will have all of the familiar elements from Mary Shelley’s classic story. Sean Bean plays Inspector John Marlott, who delves into the underworld of Georgian England after discovering a chopped up and reassembled child during a run-of-the-mill opium raid.

Oh, also, Tom Ward (Silent Witness) will play Sean Bean’s boss – the real-life home secretary Robert Peel – because, well, it's reimagined.

Hollywood star Sean’s ‘Bean’ in Gosford for Frankenstein role

Quote
Hollywood star Sean Bean has been at Gosford near Markethill as the stunning park and castle get another starring role!

After its popularity as a location for the global hit series Game of Thrones, Gosford has gone gothic, the stage set for a reworking of the Frankenstein tale based on Mary Shelley’s classic work.

Bean – star of numerous hit movies and TV series such as Sharpe – has been at the forest park this week for filming on The Frankenstein Chronicles, a show which ITV confirmed it had commissioned last November.

Already a firm favourite as a location for filming Game of Thrones now Gosford Castle in Markethill is set to star in the upcoming Frankenstein Chronicles.

Frankenstein comes to Ballyclare

Quote
Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones star Sean Bean could be on his way to Ballyclare to film scenes for a new TV drama series.

The award-winning English actor, who has also played leading roles in GoldenEye, National Treasure and historical war drama Sharpe, will star in a new six-part TV crime thriller, The Frankenstein Chronicles - part of which is being filmed in Ballyclare.

Northern Ireland Screen, which is funding part of the project, said it “cannot disclose location information during live shoots.” But the Times can reveal that some scenes for the new series are being filmed in the grounds of the old Kirkpatrick Bros. Ltd linen mill on Green Road.

It’s understood that a special set featuring a street scene has been constructed at the site and that filming was due to start this week.

Certainly an interesting job for Poppie who was confirmed to be used for a face and body mould for forthcoming ITV drama The Frankenstein Chronicles!

Poppie's mum told us of the experience 'Poppie had an unusual but exciting day as her head, arm, leg and torso were moulded! They started with the head/face and Poppie was amazing, so calm and kept giving us the thumbs up during the procedure! The artists were lovely and talked through each stage.
They were so thrilled with Poppie and are going to post her the face cast they took!'
