Ned Stark Tribute Video Salutes GAME OF THRONES’ Most Honorable Man
Imagine having so much honor that you are willing to have it besmirched in the name of honor itself. How many people can hold an ideal so close to their heart that they would let the world think otherwise if it meant staying true to that value?
Ned Stark was such a man.
This tribute video to the late Lord of Winterfell, Eddard Stark, pays homage to a man that not only allowed all of the Seven Kingdoms to believe he had broken his marriage vows, but even his own wife, all so he could honor the promise he made to his dying sister, a promise to shield an innocent child from a world that would surely wish him dead if his true identity were revealed.
Long before the season six finale of Game of Thrones confirmed the long held fan theory that Jon Snow wasn’t really Ned Stark’s bastard, but rather the secret son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen, Ned was already a man held in esteem for his honor. However, it was that same honor that got him killed, when he tried to ensure the safety of Cersei’s children by telling the queen that he knew her terrible secret. Ned’s greatest attribute was also his greatest weakness.

But none of them can match the honor of Ned Stark.
An honor that both defined his life and ultimately cost him it. Because in a world where doing the right thing is so often the wrong course of action, being the most honorable man in the Seven Kingdoms is a curse, but one worthy of being honored.
