Diggs: Sean Bean's at 11 all the time. My favorite scene I've ever shot with him is, I can't tell you about it because it's in this season, but he had such a lack of concern for his own safety shooting it, and I was terrified for him. He was just like, "Hit me!" He went for it, and I was very impressed, and had to reconsider my own physicality quite a bit.

Sumner: For me, growing up in England, Sean Bean was such a hero of mine. Any time to be on set with him has been a bit of a pinch-me moment.

Netflix's Snowpiercer: Sean Bean 'terrified' co-star Daveed Diggs with his daredevil antics

Sean is widely credited by critics with saving the TNT programme after a lacklustre first series in which he hardly appeared.

Known for tough man roles in programmes such as Game of Thrones, his return in series two re-ignited the drama which retells the story featured in Bong Joon-ho’s Certified Fresh 2013 movie of the same name.

For his part in the apocalyptic drama, Sean wears a signature fur coat over a suit and tie which is the uniform of his evil character in the drama which documents a Lord of the Flies scenario.

But Diggs told another interviewer that the cast and crew struggled to make a programme about a new ice age in the middle of a heatwave which was so severe Canadians were checking into hotels so they could have air conditioning.

"We were shooting actually in the biggest heatwave in the history of Vancouver last season," said Diggs.

"So it was hot out there, and we do exterior scenes this season in those breach suits and those are just sweat boxes. It was — an interesting experience."

Snowpiercer is back on TNT, and with its new season comes a brand-new 16-bit side-scrolling digital experience called Snowfighter that features characters and locations from the show.

  Snowfighter is available on PC & mobile devices and will have players fighting their way across the titular Snowpiercer—an ever-moving train that circles the world and carries the last survivors of humanity following an apocalyptic event that left our Earth a frozen wasteland.

As they fight through waves and waves of enemies and move through the train, players will encounter familiar villainous faces like Wilford and Icy Bob. These enemies will appear every 10 cars or so and the side-scrolling will stop so you can fight them. When defeated, these characters will run back further in the train in hopes to face you once again.

Players will be able to choose some of their favorite characters to play as, complete with unique combos that are unlocked by using punch and upper cut/jump actions. These characters will need to fight their way through endless levels by punching train cargo for additional points, avoiding canisters, and collecting power-ups like Wilford’s Invincibility Coin that will make them invulnerable to damage for a short time. Additionally, players will be able to enter their score into a leaderboard that will prove to others that they are the best of the best.

Snowpiercer Finally Makes A Perfect Ned Stark Game of Thrones Joke
It's surprising that it took until season 3 but Snowpiercer's Ned Stark joke was a perfect reference to Sean Bean's famous death in the HBO series.

Sean Bean now portrays the devious Mr. Wilford but Snowpiercer season 3 finally made the perfect Game of Thrones Ned Stark joke. In Snowpiercer season 3, episode 3, "The First Blow," Wilford defends his 1,023-car-long super train from his nemesis, Andre Layton (Daveed Diggs). In this clash of trainsmanship, Layton finally got the better of Wilford and took back control of Snowpiercer. But as Layton and his team aboard their 10-car pirate train prepped for their offensive, it was Bess Till (Mickey Sumner) who cracked a sly Game of Thrones joke acknowledging the infamous demise of Bean's character, Lord Eddard Stark.

Snowpiercer's sly Ned Stark joke happens at the start of season 3, episode 3, "The First Blow," as Layton's pirate train begins its offensive on Mr. Wilford's Snowpiercer. When Wilford's paramour, Miss Audrey (Lena Hall), who is Layton's prisoner, asks Bess, "It's him [Wilford], isn't it?" Till replies, "You'll know it's him when his head is in a pike." No one who watched Game of Thrones can possibly miss the reference to Ned Stark's death, which remains one of the most famous TV moments of the last decade - and one that sparked numerous reaction videos and memes on social media.

Snowpiercer Reveals Wilford’s True Power Over The Train

Mr. Wilford’s (Sean Bean) true power over Snowpiercer was revealed in season 3, episode 4, « Bound By One Track. » At this stage in Snowpiercer’s journey, Wilford is imprisoned by Andre Layton (Daveed Diggs), who returned after six months of searching for Melanie Cavill’s (Jennifer Connelly) theoretical New Eden aboard his stolen 10-car pirate train. Wilford may be deposed as Snowpiercer’s leader (for now) and hospitalized after Roche (Mike O’Malley) tried to murder him, but his protege, Alex Cavill (Rowan Blanchard), revealed Wilford’s innate connection to the train, which is what makes the Eternal Engineer so dangerous.

What happened in the Big Alice cull on Snowpiercer?

We knew Big Alice culled half of its population, but not exactly how. Snowpiercer Season 3, Episode 4 explained it all. Was it as bad as we thought?

We knew that there had been some sort of cull on Big Alice. During the second season, Alex explained that there had originally been 200 passengers. However, a shortage of food and other problems led to the removal of 100 passengers.

What we didn’t know was how it happened. Alex didn’t go into the details, and it left a lot to our imaginations.

Considering the movie’s storyline of cannibalism among the Tailies, it was easy to suspect that Wilford would have allowed such a thing. He’s all about survival, and we knew the cull was due to a lack of resources. Wouldn’t cannibalism help with that?

Well, Snowpiercer Season 3, Episode 4 went into the story. It wasn’t as bad as some of our imaginations made it out to be.

How did Wilford cull 100 people on Big Alice on Snowpiercer?
On the way to the Horn of Africa, Ben stopped the train. There was a blockage ahead, and it was soon clear that it was Big Alice cars. Alex immediately knew what this meant.

Alex wanted to go out alone to deal with the blockage, but Ben knew that this would be a two-person job. So, he went out, and that’s when he learned the truth.

Wilford had cut the trains in the middle of the night. Alex explained it was the best way to remove half of the passengers without much of a fight. And it sounds like the culled passengers had no idea what was going to happen.

Wilford had looked through the list of passengers. This wasn’t random. He wanted to find those who were the most useful for Big Alice, and that meant splitting some families apart. Alex was originally with the culled passengers, but Wilford came for her in the middle of the night and got her away. She was only around 10 or 11, and she left behind her best friend.

That night, Wilford cut the cars. The passengers froze to death in their sleep.

It didn’t involve cannibalism at all. We can like some of the Big Alice passengers again.
