Sean Bean Gagging for Oblivion
Brit actor spills the beans on his role as Martin Septim.
by Rob Burman, IGN UK

UK, February 16, 2007 - As part of IGN's Oblivion Friday we tracked down celebrated British Actor Sean Bean, star of GoldenEye and Lord of the Rings, and asked how his role in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion compared to filming a Hollywood blockbuster.

Speaking to IGN on the eve of the UK release of his new film, Outlaw, Bean revealed that the role of Empreror Martin Septim turned up "out of the blue" and that he found the prospect of working on an epic videogame like Oblivion extremely exciting, because "it had a really good story" and other great actors such as Patrick Stewart were involved.

In fact Bean enjoyed the role so much he would like to do a sequel, saying, "It was a good, stylish and successful piece of work and if a sequel came by I'd definitely be up for that."

Bean particularly enjoyed his role as one of the Blades, because it's the nickname of his favourite football club, Sheffield United. However, when he tried to explain that he was already a 'Blade' to one of the producers they just didn't understand: "It's my football club," he said, before giving up and saying, "Never mind, let's just get on with it!"

Outlaw will be released in UK cinemas on March 9.
