Sean's life has been pretty much solely dedicated to Legends for the past four months. He got the chance to talk about his roles (I say 'roles' because this time around Sean plays multiple characters, all very distinct from each other) at Wondercon when Legends provided a panel. There are numerous clips and tons of photos of the cast as they took time out to introduce us to the upcoming series.
Sean took some time out to talk about Legends and even delved into the possibility of Ned Stark flashbacks on Game of Thrones in this Vulture.com interview. Can anyone say "Spoilers"?
As for news on the other films Sean has finished filming, the folks in charge of getting Jupiter Ascending to the big screen have announced that the film's premiere has been pushed to February 6, 2015 from the original July 18 date. The film's directing duo announced the date, stating that the special effects-laden film was just not going to be ready for a Summer blockbuster release and due to star Mila Kunis being unable to participate in the publicity campaign due to pregnancy. They will be making a presentation at San Diego ComicCon and field a panel, but Sean will not be available. Also, Channing Tatum has been heavily involved in promoting 22 Jump Street and Sean has been deep into filming Legends. In the meantime, they have made more info on the film available via interviews with the principle cast. Read SFX Magazine's in depth report on the film. Both Empire UK magazine and Total Film magazine have also done large spreads on the feature film.
Any Day, with Eva Longoria, was last reported making the film markets round, but as yet nothing has solidified around a date we can expect to see the film released. CAA Creative Artists Agency is handling sales for distribution. Watch our Twitter and Facebook feeds for any updates as we receive them.
Good news for Enemy of Man: the Kickstarter effort to assemble funds to move it into pre-production met with great success.
"A new movie adaptation of Macbeth featuring Rupert Grint will head into production after a successful crowd-funding campaign.
The Enemy of Man will be made after members of the public pledged more than the target of $250,000 (£156,250) on Sunday (06Apr14).
The independent film, directed by Troy's Vincent Regan, will star British actor Sean Bean as the titular character in the latest adaptation of the classic William Shakespeare tragedy. Grint will portray Ross and Game of Thrones actor Charles Dance will play King Duncan.
The campaign, launched on crowd-funding site Kickstarter.com, will cover the pre-production costs required to get the project off the ground." ~Contact Music
Kaleidoscope Film Distribution presented the film at the Marche du Film 2014, Cannes, 14th - 21st May. Director Vincent Regan and his team were last reported scouting filming locations in Bavaria and Wales. Still no word on who will play the murderous Lady Macbeth.
While we wait for word on Macbeth entering production, Variety has announced that Sean has signed on to the romancer "Maudie". Based on a true story, Sean will play a reclusive local fish peddler who hires Maud Dowley - a tiny disabled woman - to be his housekeeper for his small home. The story, set in the 1950s and 1960s, follows their romance as she becomes a well-known folk artist whose paintings hang in The White House. Maudie is scheduled to shoot in July in Newfoundland, Canada, where historic locations capture the look of Nova Scotia in the era of the film. It is assumed that Sean will report for duty following daughter Molly's Summer wedding.
That's the latest bits and bobs on what Sean has been up to. Of course, there's always new 02 adverts to be found. Till next time...enjoy!
