1996 Football drama starring Sean Bean, Emily Lloyd, Pete Postlethwaite & Melanie Hill.  The film is a will to power story following the fortunes of promising young soccer talent Jimmy Muir in his attempt to play the game at top flight level.

This charming British football flick stars Sean Bean as a hard drinking, talented amateur footballer at odds with authority and himself. Filmed at various locations around South Yorkshire, When Saturday Comes takes a wry look at family, friends, choices, hangovers and second chances. Bean is capably supported by Emily Lloyd and the wonderful Pete Postlethwaite.  This is a film is a must for anyone who has ever had big dreams.
